Privacy policy

What this site knows about you, why, for how long, and how to get a copy or have it deleted. In short: no accounts, no analytics, no advertising — only the usual server logs, and what you send us yourself when you get in touch.

Who we are

This site, movingsystems.tech (www.movingsystems.tech and moving.devya.dev redirect here), is run by Devya Solutions, in Cairo, Egypt, which is responsible for the personal data it collects (the data controller).

Moving Systems is a subsidiary of Devya Solutions, its parent company.

  • Controller: Devya Solutions, Cairo, Egypt. Website: devya.dev.
  • Contact: hello@devya.dev, or WhatsApp +20 104 185 8781. A person reads both.
  • Data protection officer: none is appointed. Send any question about your privacy to hello@devya.dev.

What we collect and why

Only in two situations, both set out below: when you visit the pages, and when you contact us.

When you visit the site

What
Your IP address, the date and time, the address of the page requested (including your search words if you submit a help-centre search), the page that linked you here, and the browser and device type your browser announces (the user agent).
From
Your browser sends it automatically with every request — that is how the web works.
Why
To deliver the pages, protect the site against abuse and attacks, and track down errors.
Lawful basis
Our legitimate interest in running a site that works and is secure. We use the logs for nothing else. (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f))
How long
The logs rotate daily and are deleted after 14 days.

When you contact us

What
On WhatsApp: your phone number, WhatsApp name and picture, and your messages. By email: your address, name and message. By phone: your number and what you tell us. A WhatsApp message from this site starts typed in for you — your brief's answers if you filled it in, the title of the help page you were reading — and ends with a short code such as [M-cta] that tells us which button you pressed. You can change any of it before sending.
From
You, when you press the WhatsApp or email button or call us. The site itself sends nothing: the button opens WhatsApp or your mail app.
Why
To answer your question and, if you ask, suggest the right product for your business and prepare an offer.
Lawful basis
Steps you ask us to take before a contract; otherwise our legitimate interest in answering people who write to us. (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b), 6(1)(f))
How long
An enquiry that goes nowhere is deleted within 12 months of the last message. If you become a customer, it is kept under that product's privacy policy.

What this site does not do

  • No accounts and no newsletter. The four-question brief keeps and sends nothing: it opens WhatsApp with your answers typed in, and they reach us only if you press send there.
  • No analytics, advertising pixels, session recording or any other tracker, and nothing is loaded from a third party: fonts and images come from our own server.
  • Search in the help centre runs in your browser. The words you type reach our server only if you submit the search to open the results page.
  • On your device the site keeps only your light or dark choice, and only once you press the theme button. Details in the cookie policy.

Who receives it, and where

We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. These are the only services involved:

  • Hostinger runs our server in Germany (EU) on our behalf; the server logs are kept there.
  • Hostinger also hosts our devya.dev mailbox, which receives what you send to hello@devya.dev.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) carries and stores WhatsApp messages under its own terms and privacy policy, and may process them outside your country, including in the United States.
  • Cloudflare answers DNS lookups for our domain only; your visits to the pages do not pass through it.
  • Authorities, only where the law obliges us.

Your rights

You can ask us for:

  • Access — to see the data we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Rectification — to correct it if it is wrong or incomplete.
  • Erasure — to delete it.
  • Restriction — to limit what we do with it.
  • Portability — to receive it in a common format, or have it sent to someone else.
  • Objection — to object to what we do with it, including what we process on the basis of our legitimate interest, such as the server logs.
  • Withdrawal of consent — nothing on this site relies on your consent today. If we ever ask for it, you can withdraw it at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page, as easily as you gave it.

How to use your rights

Write to hello@devya.dev or message us on WhatsApp at +20 104 185 8781. It is free, and we answer within one month of receiving your request; if a request is complex we may need two more months, and we will tell you so within the first month. We may ask you to show that the data is yours before we hand it over or delete it.

The server logs carry no name, so to find your lines in them we need the IP address you used and roughly when you visited. They are deleted automatically after 14 days.

For your WhatsApp messages and emails, we can send you a copy or delete them on our side.

Complaints

If you think we have broken data-protection law, tell us first if you like and we will try to put it right. You may also complain to a supervisory authority:

  • in the EU or EEA, the data-protection authority in your country;
  • in Egypt, the Personal Data Protection Centre (Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020);
  • in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA), under the Personal Data Protection Law.

No automated decisions

We make no decision about you by purely automated means, and we do not build a profile of you.

Children

This site is meant for business owners and their teams, not for children, and we do not knowingly collect children's data. If you think a child has contacted us, tell us and we will delete the conversation.

The product sites

Moving Stores (stores.movingsystems.tech) and Moving POS (pos.movingsystems.tech) are separate services, each with its own privacy notice, which applies when you use them. On those platforms each merchant decides what happens to its own customers' data.

Changes to this policy

When we change how we handle data, we update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top. If we ever add a tool that needs your consent — analytics, for example — it stays off until you allow it, and the site will ask you first.
