Get featured in the Moving Stores directory
The Moving Stores directory is a curated page of independent stores, and every card on it opens your own store. You list your store in Settings, the Moving Stores team picks the stores it features, and you can stop listing any time.
On this page
Before you start
- The Manage store profile & branding permission.
The Moving Stores directory is a page on the Moving Stores site showing independent stores picked by the Moving Stores team: makers, fashion labels, artists, home-goods shops and more. Shoppers browse it and filter it by what each store makes, and every card opens the store itself in a new tab.
A curated showcase, not a marketplace
- Curated: the Moving Stores team picks the stores it features. Listing your store puts it among the ones the team reviews; it doesn’t promise it a place.
- It leads to your store: the directory has no shared cart and takes no payments. Every card opens your store, so shoppers order and pay with you, by the payment and shipping methods you chose.
- No commission: Moving Stores takes no cut of your sales, including the ones the directory brings you.
- The page also shows sample stores marked Sample: one for each design with sample products, not real stores.
List your store
Step 1: From the sidebar, open Settings › Store › Moving Stores directory.
Step 2: In Your card, choose What you make.
Makers and crafts, Fashion, Art and prints, Home goods, Beauty, Food and drink or Something else. Shoppers filter the directory by it, and listing needs it. If you answered What do you make? when you signed up, a category is already picked from your answer.
Step 3: Write the Pitch in Arabic and English.
One or two lines on what you make, up to 160 characters per language. If you write it in one language only, shoppers see that one in both.
Step 4: Choose a Cover picture.
A portrait photograph of your work, shown in a 4:5 frame; at least 1200 pixels tall works best. SVG files aren’t accepted.
Step 5: In Listing, turn on List my store in the Moving Stores directory, then click Save.
The line under the switch says what you agree to: Moving Stores may show your store’s name, logo, cover picture and pitch on the directory page and link to your store. Once saved, Listed since shows the date you agreed.
What your card shows
- The Storefront name and the Logo on light backgrounds.
- The cover picture, and the pitch in the shopper’s language.
- What you make, which shoppers filter the directory by.
- A link to your store: your own domain if it is connected and verified, otherwise your store’s address on the platform.
How stores are picked
The Moving Stores team reviews the listed stores and picks the ones the directory features; listing doesn’t promise a place. When your store is picked, the Listing card shows the Featured by Moving Stores badge.
- A featured store shows while it is listed and open. If you set the Store status to Closed or Maintenance, it leaves the directory until you open it again.
- A store that hasn’t launched yet, or that is suspended, never shows in the directory.
Stop listing
Turn off List my store in the Moving Stores directory and click Save. Your consent is withdrawn and your store leaves the directory within minutes. If you list it again, Listed since starts from the day you list it again.
I listed my store and don’t see it in the directory. Why?
Listing puts your store among the ones the team reviews, and the team picks what the directory features. Once it is picked, the Featured by Moving Stores badge shows in the Listing card, and the store shows while it is open.
I see “Choose what your store makes before listing it in the directory.” What now?
Choose a category under What you make, then save again. Listing needs a category for shoppers to filter by.
Can a restaurant show in the directory?
Yes. Choose Food and drink under What you make, then list your store like any other.
